Other Tools which you my find useful

A lot of people have a lot of different browsers installed on their computers, especially if you have anything to do with website development etc. This means that you might actually lose track of the browser that you are using. This might sound a little crazy, but it is certainly possible as a lot of them will look very similar. For example, Chrome and Internet explorer look quite similar.

As well as this, there are often different versions of browsers released all the time. There are often very small changes between the different releases of browsers and you might be wondering exactly which version of the browser you are using. This is important if you are wondering whether or not to install an update or whether a plug-in will work with the particular browser that you have. if you need to find out the version of the browser that you are using, you can use the tool supplied on this page.

Basically, the tool will allow you to see which browser you are using (Internet Explorer, Firefox etc) as well as the version that you are using. The version is very specific too. For example, it is telling me that I am using Chrome 17.0.963.46 which is obviously a very specific version of the Google Chrome Browser.

Knowing your browser will allow you to really be able to decide whether you want an update or not or whether you can install something on it. It will also allow you to check that you have the absolute latest version of a browser and if not, you can then download it and check again once it is installed. Checking your browser is a very useful tool which you can find above.
